“You’re Going To Die Bitter and Alone”
Women are celebrating my divorce while men are criticizing my choice, and I’m not worried about it.
I recently wrote about the fact single, childless women are absolutely having a moment in society. Their radical happiness and acceptance of themselves is on full display.
Our existence is a threat to the foundation of society being built on the back of undervalued domestic labor and procreation. Look at the way Trump’s campaign focused on promoting traditional family values and rolling back DEI initiatives that directly benefited progress for women in the workplace.
At the moment, I am going through a divorce that was a long time coming. Fortunately it is an amicable and mutual one. Something unexpected I discovered as I’ve been going through this experience was the community I’ve found in women who are incredibly proud to be independent, self-sufficient, and completely satisfied with lives that don’t revolve around the husband and kids we’re told our biological purpose is to serve.
