When my partner and I started dating, he casually proposed just a couple months in. I was moving away and he wanted to come with. We knew it would seem crazy, but I agreed and he moved with me. Not long later we had an official engagement and announced it — I’m sure it seemed crazy to all the people who thought we’d moved in/away too soon. But here we are, more than four years later, married over a year and crazy in love. Now and then someone will say they thought it seemed fast/crazy/unusual at the time, but clearly it was meant to be.

Love is unexpected. It is also powerful, and will be if it wants to be.
